thanks alot for all your help if theres anything i can help you with please let me know i have recorded 2 dvds now at 8 speed with no skipping or jumping ! great i hope it lasts
what i did was :
i changed my firmware from csoc to cso9 patched then back to csoc patched and this seems to have worked? ?????????????????Comment

Glad I could be of some help. There is also a eprom utility that will clear the learned media area of the eprom I use it before I update my firmware. It is also on codeguys website under utilities.Last edited by Norm; 23 Feb 2005, 11:02 AM."Women"

Liteon burners have the abiltity to "learn" media and this improves burn quality but when changing firmware you need to clear this info basically to reset it so it can learn from the new firmware. device 1 not in use
seccondary channel device 2 set to dma 2?

Looks OK. So, it is probably a write strategy table issue which is firmware related.
Essentially, your drive doesn't recognise your blanks all that well, and has slowed down to accommodate its uncertainty.
Check here for burner/media compatibility.
PS The Ashes are ours and will stay that way!!!!!
