    NEC ND3500 Firmware

    Hello All,
Please forgive me if this is already posted, I looked around, but could not find an answer,
I am trying to download a firmware for NEC ND 3500 Double Layer DVD Burner, I found the firmware page. www.rpc1.org. and tried to download the 2.18 version. each time I try, I get redirected to another page that display a message that says:
Offsite linking is not allowed. Shame on you to try and steel our bandwidth. Whatever help you can offer I will appreciate it
    Thanks

I don't know why you are getting that page. I can access/download it fine. Try right clicking on the link, then click "Open in New Window".

                Cynthia,
I think I will have to marry you, No offence JMET ( Ja... Ja )
Here's a 2 part question, 1.)what does RPC1 mean? 2.) can I download more than 1 firmware? There is one for RPC1 and rip speed, and the one I really need, Region free, ohh sorry 3 part question, what is 2.fa and 2.fc, i want to make sure I download the correct firmware, its all new to me.

An explanation of RPC1 (regionfree) is here: http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=239

No, you can only have one firmware installed at the same time.

2.FA and 2.FC must be version numbers.

And for the sake of it - remember if you install hacked/modified firmware - your original guarantee will be lost. I don't want to scare you - all of the firmwares have been tested. If not - they are named beta.

There is also Herrie's site with very good modified firmwares. http://www.herrie.org/ The links for 3xxx has not yet been incorporated. But the FAQs are nice.
