    MIG$Y:

I looked at one this weekend as I'm going to upgrade from my NEC ND1300A to a faster DL drive, but the turn off that I found was that, according to the manufacturer, you have to use LightScribe specific discs. I searched for a sales site on the web and have found that Imation, Memorex and a few of the other media rebadging companies are currently selling the media. However it's only available in +R and I really don't trust the quality of the manufacturers of the media as we have seen a lot of problems with the ones that are offering LightScribe specific media as of now. Since HP is involved, and they are fronting for CMC MAG in the States, It just might be that CMC MAG is the maufacturer.
I think I'll wait a while and see how it plays out.

        Mig$y.

Have you seen this article about a Philips writer?

It doesn't come out too well.

Perfect, just what I was looking for!

          thanks nwg

It appears it's still in its guinea pig stage. I'm sure (I hope) things will improve. I do like the concept.

I do like the quality of the labelling.

There is also plenty of manufaturers claiming to be doing discs and burners.

            Found another article
