confused about dvdshrink 3.2

I recently downloaded dvdshrink 3.2 and everything was working great. I had successfully backed up 3 dvds. Now, every time i go to do another one, the program disappears on me. Everything works fine up until the point where I hit backup. After it starts the backup process, it gets a few % done and then disappears? the program isn't anywhere to be found?? what do i do???
I have tried uninstall/reinstall and same happens.

FYI: Compaq laptop, one year old, xp home ed. (service pack 2), 256 MB, 30 G HD

Try uninstalling Service Pack 2.

If you have a version of Nero Burning ROM installed that is prior to 6.3.1.25 do an update.

Alternatively, uncheck "Enable burning with Nero" in your prefereces and see if the same problems occur.

Thanks! I don't have a newer version of nero but I did uncheck that box and things seem to be working well now
