    video_rm files

Does anyone know what video_rm files are or if a dvd can be changed from video_rm to video_ts to make it playable on other players? I have searched google, but there seems to be little if any info on this.

Can they be converted somehow to make them playable in other dvd players?

        Yes...

But why did you make them in Real Media format to start with, if you want them in a different format?

I have a sanyo drw-500 standalone dvd recorder, and that is how it records every movie or home video I make. they play fine in it but they won't play in any other standalone players.

You're referring to "Video RAM" and "VRO" format.

You can use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (Different than "TMPGEnc" and "TMPGEncPlus") to convert to "standard" DVD format.

You can get a FULLY functional, free 30 day trial version at:

            TMPGEnc,DVD Author,tmpg,mpg,mpeg,encoder,TMPG,tmpgenc,Pegasys,TSUNAMI,authoring,digital,video,DVD-Video,AVI,converter,convert,movie,movies
