DVD Quality after you shrink

Hi all.
new to the board.

I want to know this. 2 things


If I Decript an original dvd and
Use DVD Shrink and Back it up to a Blank DVD
and the Play the Copy on a HD upconverting DVD Player will it upconvert to anything?

New DVD players can Convert to hi def standard DVDs from 480i to HDTV-level 720p or 1080i resolution

What is the Shrink Resolution?
