How much can a disc hold?

    How much can a disc hold?

    I want to burn some movies onto cd right but i want to know if the DVD discs can hold upto 800,000KB and if the VCD's can hold upto 400,000kb? if not is there a way to make it fit by "skrinking" them and can someone point me in the right direction of what programe i might need.

    Please clarify - are you attempting to process a VCD or DVD?

      A single-sided, single layer DVD can hold 4.37Gb, or approximately 4,500,000Kb...

          cd-r's/rw's 650-700MB---, 74-80 min depending on what you buy.

            Unless your speaking of low resolution "VCDs", most movies are on DVDs...
