    programm does not see the burner??

    Hi,

    I have bought me a dvdburner LiteOn 16x. I have kept my old cd burner in de computer. The problem is that after i installed the dvdshrink 3.2, shrink is not seeing my dvd burner. I put the dvd in the old cd/dvd reader, and had in mind to burn it direct to the dvd burner, but as i said the programm does not see my burner.
    When select backup target i get those two options;
    Harddisk folder
    create ISO image folder. What am i doing wrong?.
    I tried to make a harddisk folder, and than to burn but that failed me two times, so iám desperate, please help me.....

    I have now changed the jumpers so my new dvd burner is de master, but still no change, still no burning possibility in the shrink very strange?!.

    Does Windows (or any other program) recognize the new burner?

    If you place an original DVD or already burned DVD in your burner, can you play it?

        Yes my windows is recognizing the dvd player and model. I have placed a original dvd in the player and no problems with that. I can play it as normal, but still in the Shrink so option to choose a burner.

          Thanx, i think that that is the problem. I try now to install the full Nero, and hoping for the best. I let you know if it is working.

              Hi everyone,
              I read this topic and seem to be having the same problems. Let me describe the situation: My computer recognizes my DVD Burner and when I insert an original DVD it plays. The problem starts when I insert a blank DVD, nothing happens. I go to my computer and click on that particular drive and it states F: is not accessible and incorrect function. I have the latest firmware, and I'm using Windows XP Service Pack2. The media is compatible with my burner.
              Please help me................

                      ok so i am also new to the forums and this seems to be similar to my problem but slightly different. I have been searchin for a while now and i hope i can find a solution. But, heres the problem.. while all these people see the burn .iso format or whatever i see ntohign except make a folder on the harddrive. Also i did some searchin about in my computer and i notice that first off when i slide a blank disk i no longer get the nifty lil auotplay to burn a dvd. When i go to my computer my icon says CD-drive not dvd drive. also if i right clcik and open the auto play i am given burn cd with this program etc. i have no clue hwo this could happen because under device manager my drive is listed as Lite-on DVDRW SOHW-1633S i just flashed the firmware to the latest one the BSOY i believe it was. the drive though says Microsoft from 2001... hmm strange anway any help would be appreciated

                          WindowsBlinds has a known issue with covering up availabe backup targets. There is a setting however in WindowsBlinds that you can add DVD Shrink to a "Exceptions" list and it won't skin that window, allowing you to see everything.
