What I was saying is that, if, for example, you use DVD Shrink and the compression is high (slider near the left), you run the risk of seeing what are known as "artifacts". These are colour banding, blurriness, fuzzy dots, blocks, or pulsing effects, amongst others.
Doing deep analysis and applying AEC can minimise these effects.
Don't feel bad. You're not the first poster who hasn't been able to understand "blutach".
What he/she was trying to point out is that, if you compress your DVD too much, you might create some of what you refer to as "video bugs" (pixelation or little colored boxes, green dots, etc.)
oh ok i see... so if the compression is to high, i might wanna use an 8 Go Media?!
What is the maximum compression you would not go over to be sure to have a nice copy?
Okayyyy!!!! i begin to see a little light in the darkness... thanks
Nox i really think i should use 8Go Media... Even if it is a little more expensive, i'll be sure to have a good quality...At least if the original DVD was perfect quality...
ok i just saw the price difference is huge...
On an internet site i usually buy the price is lke this :
Verbatim DVD-R 4.7 GO (certified 8x) pack of 10 = 13,80€ or $ if you want... compared to that :
Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5 GO (certified 2.4x) = 12,90€ for ONE!!!!
Additing to this the price of the DVD Box, i can buy the new movie on the internet for the same...lol
So i'll better stay with the 4.7Go Media, lol
Ok i tried new media... Verbatim DVD-R 4.7Go... It's worse... I couldn't even watch the end of the movie... It stucks... Even the timer on my DVD Player has stopped... I burned it with DVD Decrypter at 1x speed...
Not very encouraging...
