DVD Shrink finished successfully but it didn't play on DVD player

Hi all,

I need help on this issue.
I used the DVD shrink to burn movies to DVD.
DVD shrink finished successfully, but it didn't play on the DVD player. I got an error message like 'incorrect disk' or 'disk not found' or 'blank screen' on the DVD player.
I have tried many times of reburning but still got the same problem.
Notes: I set Region to 'Regions free'.

What media are you using? What app are you using to burn the DVD? Nero or DVD Decrypter? I assume it's one of the two because you state that you are using Shrink to burn your DVDs, and Shrink is not a burning app. It can, however, call either Nero or Decrypter to do the job.

If your burn terminates successfully, then that is an indication you are using inferior media.

Thanks all for your help.
I used the Nero 6.0 Ultra Edition to burn from DVDshrink.
It didn't either play on DVD player or DVD drive (BTC).
But if I didn't compress and burn directly from Nero, it was working OK. The problem is I want to burn from DVD DL to DVD 5.

Sorry I didn't save the log.
Yes, I checked the site you provided and my Toshiba DVD player can play DVD-R. If I burned with Nero, it played OK.
But I wanted to burn more than 4 Gb, then I used the DVDshrink to compress from DVD9 down to DVD5. ..and it failed
I will save the log next time.
I saw the info in the other thread it is said that I could shrink the vob files to the ISO image at the harddrive then using Nero to burn to DVD. is it OK?

The log is saved by default to C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.log.txt

It's not just DVD-R but the media ID codes of the blanks you are using that is important. Don't get any old DVD-R, buy high quality ones that your burner and players will accept.
