DVDShrink will backup but will not burn.

I've been using DVD Shrink for over a year. Absolutely no problems. Then yesterday I tried to burn a DVD from an origianl that I have done before, so I know the disk is okay, but it simply will not burn to the DVDRW.
1. DVD Shrink performs the Open Disk just fine.
2. DVD Shrink performs the Backup just fine (copies the files to the hard drive as it has done hundreds of times.) but instead of burning to the disk I get the screen asking me to start the process over again. I click OKAY and it says, "There are files in the backup do I want to delete them?" I choose to delete the files and DVD Shrinks starts the backup process all over again. However, this time when it has finished the Backup, it shuts down the DVD Shrink software and nothing was copied to the DVDRW.
3. NOTE: I have never been able to use the NERO software without the DVD Shrink first. Does any of this make sense to anyone? Help.

Hi and welcome to the forum, Scottn5203!

Only thing that could have happend is that the final result did not match the size of your RW. Have you tried to use another RW (could also be something physical wrong with the disc).

But what puzzles me is that it goes thru the backup process again - I never heard about that before.

If you try with another DVD source - does it happen with that to?

Have you always used R/W media for DVD backups, or is this the first time?

A pragmatic question Scott - has your backup become unusable? If not, simply copy the backup with either Nero or DVD Decrypter. No need to run through DVD Shrink again.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Not knowing what best to do I decided to uninstall Nero and DVD Shrink. I rebooted, and then I reinstalled Nero and then DVD Shrink. I went through the preference options and restored them as best I could and tried a short DVD.
1. Opened The Disk. Found the files and DVD Shrink analyzed the disk.
2. Pressed the Backup Button and the process of saving the files to the Hard Disk started as usual.
3. When it had finished, it went directly into the Burn Process. I selected the appropriate drive to burn to (I have two drives: a DVD Player and DVD burner) and whalla it worked like a champ.

What is odd though, I had uninstalled and reinstalled DVD Shrink before and nothing happened but by uninstalling both programs and installing the Nero first must have reset the options. Still do not know what happened but it is working just fine now.

I plan to come to this sight often. Thank you all for your help.
