Sorry, I just can't figure this out and have spent hours searching forum. I downloaded wnaspi32.dll from nero to desktop. Where does it go now? Nero just said to copy into nero file, but specifically where? When I open nero file it doesn't look like it belongs anywhere.Thank you for being kind to a technology challenged person.
Yes, it is external. It is actually an Ikebana brand which is not listed in firmware. I downloaded the 1.78 to desktop. I get a little nervous in messing with things I don't understand. What do I do now?
"Would getting the wnaspi32.dll from nero work instead?"
NO, absolutely NOT! That is a 32 bit ASPI driver (which is already included in your NERO folder and also, likely in your Windows\System32 folder as well)
You need to replace the 16bit Prassi/Veritas layer with the 16bit ASPI layer (Actually the Adaptec v.4.60 ASPI layer) that's part of the ForceASPI download.
Hey, my other post is gone and I didn't see your reply! Part of my problem is I just got this computer and I'm new to xp. So, the uninstall feature is different. Care to walk me through uninstalling Prassi/Veritas and downloading and installing Force ASPI?
Okay, I've downloaded and installed Force ASPI and checked it to make sure it is working. Now, how do I get rid of Prassi/Veritas and make sure nero uses the new one?
Actually, my post from yesterday is gone. I thought you had originally replied to it too. It was something like: need wnaspi.dll info . Message in email refers to a reply and gives a link, but that is not valid.
Suddenly having failures with burning, using same media Verbatim +R and burning with nero after using decrypter and dvdshrink. My recorder is Ikebana USB 2.0 although it shows up as NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A with firmware 1.75. I am wary or messing with firmware, especially since I have backed up over 25 DVD's successfully with same 50 pack of media. In trying to problem solve on my own I did do the nero InCD clean tool and reinstalled InCD from that site. Here is the log. Any help in simple terms would be greatly appreciated.
