I can't seem to use the BookMark feature, please help if possible.
Some recognition must also go to my employer for assisting in getting me this far. Without my internet connection during office hours I may never have made it.
Problem fixed. You had introduced cell commands which basically took the disk back to the menu!
I took them out (and fixed your seamless flags). Substitute these IFOs for yours. Load the disk up in PgcEdit by opening the IFOs and then save again. Check that the BUPs and IFOs have the same file date and time after your save.
blutach, many thanks, much appreciated. I don't recall introducing cell commands, I'm impressed if I did? Where do I check these? Better if for my next project I understand what I didn't do right so I don't have to come asking you the same question about "Insert Disk 2."
Started another project last night, much bigger, lots of extra's, photo gallery, trailors. Had a great time wading through choosing what goes were. I'm amongst like minded people so I don't suppose it considered nerdy. Anyway the whole movie is too large to fit on one disk, I ran it through shrink and the shrinkage is now only 19% which is fantastic. Just enjoyin playin around seein what I can do. I ran out of time but I plan to perform a "Deep Analysis" see what that turns up. I read about it somewhere, never tested it though.
I'd like to fully understand were I went wrong with "Insert Disk 2" though. I'll use your replacement IFO's over the weekend, Rugby League is on tonight so I won't get the opportunity to test.
Look at the cell commands for title 1 in your version and in mine (where there are none). Double click on the title's PGC and see that cell commands were introduced. If anything, they should have been a different command (LinkTailPGC) - goodness knows how they got to be the same as the post commands (which meant that you just didn't execute your clip). Trace it through - you will find on your version it jumps to VMG 8, instead of to the post command, which wants it to go to the new PGC, VMG9, which jumps to title 2 (your clip), which then jumps back to VMG 10, which then goes to the main menu (via VMG 8).
Thanks m8, I'll take a look at it over the weekend, best if I have your information in front of me whilst I'm looking at pgcedit. Obviously I'm happy that if I select chapter 1 I'll return to the menu once it's over. At the end of chapter 2 the clip should kick in.
Just one more question regarding these cell commands. Say for example I just selected "Play movie" would I be taken back to the main menu at the end of each chapter (because of the cell commands) or will it simply play the movie until it reaches the end of the last chapter on the disk before returning to the menu. In other words will the cell comands only return you to the menu if you use chapter selection? Obviously I can easily test this over the weekend so If it's not something you are aware of unless tested (cause you wouldn't have this issue with the cell comands yourself) then don't worry.
You will know by now there are pre commands, post commands and cell commands.
The first thing that happens when a PGC is entered is that the precommands are executed. Then, if a break is executed or you reach the end of the precommands, the video starts playing cell 1. If there is no cell command for cell 1, cell 2 starts playing etc. right to the end. Then, the post commands are executed and the disk navigates off somewhere else.
If, you pop a cell command in a cell (eg on Disk 2, you pop a command in that says link to cell number such and such - this would be done for all cells which were blanked on disk 2 to link to the next unblanked one), when you play cell 1, it plays (a blank) and executes the cell command, jumping immediately to the first non-blanked cell. For more info on this read the VobBlanker guide again till you understand it.

Thought your closing statement was a bit harsh m8. I'm just eager to learn, mayb I've been too hasty with my posts but as a newbie some of the stuff in pgcEdit looks a bit daunting.
Wasn't meant to be. Sometimes you have to read things over a few times before they sink in, that's all.
There's no way, I can teach you from scratch. You have to do what you're doing and plough in, make mistakes and learn. Read what's available and re-read it till you understand it. That's all.
