The Big Three, end files 2kb over the limit!!

Hi,
im new to the boards, i have been using a tutorial called the big three it works great but i always end up with a file that is 4.38GB or 4,708,941,824 bytes which is only a matter of kb over the size of a dvd, so needless to say after hours of encoding to come so close and to be off by such a small size is rather irritating, i was just wondering if anyone had any solutions?
Any help would be greatly apreciated,

Just shrink it a tiny bit with DVD Shrink. Don't even bother with analysis.

Set a "Custom Target" size of 4,464 MB.

Yeah, tried that but dvd shrink cant open the disc when its done with the big three!

Is there an error message in DVD Shrink? That would be unusual since Scenarist CCE should produce compliant files.

I have heard that Shrink does not to like DVD's done by the "The big Three" method.

I don't know why that is but, a "Get VTS sectors" with Ifoedit may help. It is probably IFO related.

The first thing you should note is that the tutorial you are using was last updated: Jun 29, 2003.

Subsequent to that date, DVD Shrink has gone through several iterations, with the result that output quality has been increased exponentially. I mention this so that you might consider using a far simpler methodology of arriving at excellent backup results.

Be that as it may, should you be determined to continue to use the tutorial created by "admin" (the owner of these forums and Digital Digest overall), I would ask if you've carefully read the final section of the tutorial titled: "Copying and IfoUpdate"...

Thanks for all your help, i did read the end bit properly and did it again with the same results i think what i will do is get the program to calculate it automaticaly and then just knock it down a few kbs my self,

That should provide successful results.

You might want to experiment with the most current version of DVD Shrink. You may be in for a very pleasant surprise regarding both output quality and ease of use ;>}

If you have motion menus, you can convert some or all of them to stills with MenuShrink or VobBlanker. Now that would definintely buy you 2K.

Thanks for everyones help, ill look into the latest dvdshrink aswell, Any links?
and i thought i would just say that i knocked the bitrate down ten for each pcg in reauthorist and that fixed my problem just incase anyone else has the same one.
