Movie freezes/skips & DVD question...

I use the DVD Shrink 3.2 and then the latest DVD Decrypter. The dvd copies are now giving me problems such as the movie freezing or skipping. Any ideas as to why? I keep the compression above 60% for all copies and I don't do still image for anything. (I just uncheck the options I don't want).

Also, I changed to DVD RW from DVD+R...could that be the difference? And is there a dvd that is clear on the back (like the originals) rather than purple? All DVD R+/- and DVD RW are either blue or purple...

It's probably a media issue. How about telling us the media ID, burner and firmware you are using?

I am using NEC_DVD_RW ND-3500AG for my burner. The discs I've been using have been DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW. I believe all three have been giving me problems. It's mostly friends of mine who use the dvd's that have the freezing, skipping issues. My computer plays them without a problem.

Legalities and rules aside, the fact that a burned DVD plays properly on your computer doesn't assure that it will play properly on various standalone DVD players.
