    To hello people

"Sure you didn't have Nero installed on your system at that time?

    Yeah I did actually.

I take it that DVD Srink is not the way to go these days?"

You are apparently misinterpreting what DVD Shrink does and doesn't do (and never has done):

DVD Shrink does NOT perform, and never has performed, the burning function. It decrypts and then compresses and then (if set up to do this, as you previously had) "hands off" to a burning program - in your case NERO - to perform the actual burning function.

You can still use the DVD Shrink and NERO combination successfully with a majority of DVD titles, without having to resort to any of the additional programs mentioned by other posters in this thread.

It is only with those DVDs that incorporate the additional, fairly recent, "ARccOS" copy protection, that you'll have to use one of these other programs to decrypt the DVD before using DVD Shrink to compress and (AUTOMATICALLY linked from within DVD Shrink) NERO to burn...

To autoburn with Nero ensure you have "Enable burning with Nero" checked in your preferences (Edit>Preferences>File I/O)

After clicking "Backup" ensure you have selected your writer from the "Select backup target" dropdown window.
