New here trying to copy a dvd

HI i have recently bought a dvd its reali odd because it doesn't play in any of my dvd palyers it only plays on my computer dvd and my philips dvd recorder. So i'm making a copy of it so that i can play that on my dvd.

I have started by Decypting it using the latest version of Dvd decypter. Its doin the job but it comes to vob 2_3 vob goes up the 53% then i get an error so i decided to skip that one vob and the rest were ripped easily.

I tried to open it on dvd shrink it started to analysis and i got a cycle redundancy error.

One vob file not copyin is the cause of no back up what can i do?

is there anyway i can repair that one vob file.

    Pls help
    thanks

    best wishes

You shouldn't have to try to repair a purchased DVD. Simply return to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement DVD.

    What is the title?

What is the Region of the DVD?

Exactly what happens when you try to play it with a standalone DVD player?

Is it a commercial, pressed DVD or a burned DVD?

When i try to play it in the dvd player it says error disk, and in the other player no disk.

I would return it but its a very rare disk its a hindi song disk and i got it from someone on e-bay, i 'm gr8 ful that it works on the computer still i'd love for it to work on the dvd player.

      its region says NTSC.
i just need to repair one voble file on, the n it should open in shink dvd.

      pls help thanks,

        "its region says NTSC."

That's not the REGION, but it probably is the explanation as to why you can't play it on your standalone DVD players. (Regardless of your copying difficulties)

You are in the UK, which is part of the PAL format "world" and your players may be limited to playing only PAL format discs. NTSC format is incompatible with PAL format...

This does not sound like a "Commercial" product. Does DVD Decrypter indicate that the disk has copy protection of any kind?

Even if you DO successfully copy it, the copy won't play on your standalones for the same reason the "original" doesn't - incompatible format.

Nonetheless, here's a suggestion for another attempt at using DVD Decrypter to copy it:

Set DVD Decrypter to -0- "Software Read error retries" and place a checkmark next to "Ignore read errors"

              DVD Decrypter>>Tools>>Settings>>I/O

You might also try cleaning the DVD...
