I have tried everything i can think of???

Whats up guys, I have been having a big problem burning lately with a new computer set up. I have been posting my problems on afterdawn, but with many great suggestions but no luck.

The only thing that i can think is that it is my burner. Or could it be my hard drive or my sata controlers?? I know that it looks like my burner does not like my media (which makes me think that it is my burner) but i have tried everything from Ritek G05, TDK, Maxell, JVC, and memorex. Any suggestions please!!!

Have you tried any ReWritable media?

It might be indicating a faulty burner. Have you run a lens cleaning disc in it?

I have not tried any RW's i will pick one up today. I have used a lens cleaner, but withought any liquids, just a simple cleaning disk, i will put some alcohal on the brushes of the disk and try again.

I know Cynthia, and i thank you.

I have tried to swith the drives with no luck. I actualy have it configured as the Main drive is a Sata, the second hard drive is a slave in IDE 1 and the burner and dvd-rom are masters and slaves on the second ide.

I just placed an order for a new burner, a plaxtor, but i would have to replace the sony especially since i am not convinced that this is the problem.
