Maybe you should try burning with the DVD Decrypter in ISO

I have had the same problem as you. I get a copyright error on Blade Trinity Disk. The disk is totally clean. I have tried the DVD decrypter and it gets an IO error around 60% into it. I have run into the "copyright protected" error before on National Treasure, but decrypter worked on it.

R4's Blade 3 was fine - no errors in the rip with DVD Decrypter3.5.4.0 at all. It's a bad disk - doesn't matter if you can see the "scratch" or not.
