    black spots when burn?

I have a question latley i've been getting black spots when i burn on dvd-r. I think it's from hair or just dirt but leaves a spot on the disc. will this still play or will it freeze up? how can i clean them because blank dvd scratch up really easy tham commerical ones what does everyone use to clean them off?

they might still play, you won't be able to clean it off though. for regular disc cleaning use water and a soft cloth. some may suggest toothpaste also. whenever i insert a new disc to be burned i look at the underside to see if any foreign debris is present. many times i have noticed dust/hair/pakaging debris. make sure the disc is clean before burning.....

You may also want to use a dvd cleaning disc on your burner and player. They generally sell for $10 (US) or less.
