    Scarface?

Ok, so I tried backing up Scarface Anniversery Edition, and I get an error at about 52%. Now I realize this may have the Sony Protection on it, but I never had a problem with movies like "The Grudge". I have always used Decrypter, and then DVDShrink, and then Decrypter once again, and have yet to come across a movie that I cannot do as I wish. BTW, I get the error while Decrypting it to my hard drive. Ive tried DVD43 along with the Patin Cauffin drivers, still the same error. Any suggestions? And yes I am up to date for Decrypter and Shrink...??? Thanks for any help!

Can you post the logfile from DVD Decrypter?

Could very well be that you have a bad copy of the movie. You have tried to clean the disc?

Unistall DVD43 - it conflicts with DVD Decrypter. DVD Decrypter should decrypt it OK unless the disk is physically damaged.

Try cleaning it - see here.

          Have you tried cleaning it?

Is it scratched up at all? Even the tiniest scratch can cause DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink not being able to read (rip) it successfully.

Uninstall DVD43, you don't need it any way. All you need is DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 and DVD Shrink 3.2 .

Well I just tried my Ghost DVD with Demi Moore, which wasnt in the best shape, and I have the same problem 50% through and I get this error:
And I know its not my software/hardware because I just tried Bruce Almighty and National Treasure and they both worked fine... So it is just the condition of the DVD then?

Sometimes reading with another device - such as your burner - can give you better reading performance on CRC problems.

supposedly DVDFab (Which is not free) Can Restore Scratched or Damage Disks, the only thing I don't like about DVDFab is the fact that I have to split into 2 cd's

Im sort of confused, dont I NEED to use my DVD Burner to Decrypt it to my hard drive? Also, you say toothpaste is good, to go in a circular motion (I read on a thread/FAQ) but, is there any other ways to get them nice and clean, do those dvd/cd repair things you can buy work at all?

Alot of people have a DVD-ROM for reading and playing back their DVD's and have a DVD burner both installed in the same machine. Sometimes the DVD burner drive can read a DVD that the DVD-ROM drive can't and vise versa.

I have never tried one of those "dvd/cd repair things" you buy. I know you can use liquid car wax, toothpaste, pledge, and isopropyl alcohol to clean DVD's.
