I/0 Error message and burn fail

Okay. I've upgraded my firmware to 2.60. Everything fine there.
I have an ISO file saved on hard drive from DVDShrink.
Opened DVDDecrypter to burn it, went to ISO write. Found the file (MDS file? not sure what MDS is).
Pushed burn. Burn went okay, but when Decrypter started to verify, it spat out the tray, tray went in again, it detected the DVD okay, then a grey box flashed up that said;

I/O Error!

Use better media.

Have you tried to watch the disc even though it didn't verify?

@jmet - if it don't verify it uually means it can't read a sector - in this case the file system!

@zad1 - optodisc is crap media - do get better stuff. See my sig for media quality and here..

Guess I'll get some different discs to try tomorrow. Certainly I had better results on the last brand of discs I was using.

Sometimes there is a media list at you burners manufactors home page - it will show you what media codes your burner like. Media code is the text string as 'Disc ID: OPTODISCR004'.

@ blutach - I have burned successfully in DVD Decrypter, then ran verify after burning and it failed the verify with a I/O error but, it played no problems in my stand alone DVD player.

Wow, you guys are so right. The failure was completely caused by the brand of discs you use!
I got new discs today and burnt exactly the same ISO file in DVDDecrypter, and no problems. Movie plays fine.
When I think of all the time I wasted with those damned OPTODISCR004 discs I used, it makes me angry. Just about every one of them failed.

The disc I used today is a Mitsubishi MCC 02RG20. Thanks for your link, blutach. It confirms that this one is one of the better media types.
