file output format for standalone dvd recorder

I am interested in buying the standalone DVD recorder (e.g. Toshiba Or Panasonic), so it can record a TV show to DVD right from the TV without any computer.

Would I be able to use later DVD SHRINK or DVD decryptor with these CDs?

Is the fromat OK?

Should work out fine. Not sure but I think that the Panasonic only uses -R media - if also RW discs works I'm not sure of. Remember I looked at one for some time ago.
