    DMA question... no device 1????

Hi all! I'm very new to this, so please exciuse my ignorance!! I've been trying to read, learn and find this forum very helpful. Per advice I looked at my DMA settings (?) and found that in the Primary channel there was no option at all for device 1. Device 0 is set up exactly as it shows in the example, but under device 1 there is a shaded grey box where is should say "Ultra DMA mode 5". The "DMA if available" box is white just like in the example. Again, I'm a complete novice so I'm sure there's some ridiculously simple explanation that will make everyone reading this go "duuhh!" but indulge me and help, please..? I can copy and burn dvds fine using DVD decrypter and DVD shrink (thanks to help received here, I might add!!), it does take a while and that's why I checked on the DMA thing. I have a DVD burner and a DVD drive installed on the computer in question.
    Thanks in advance!

Just means you do not have anything connected to the "Primary Slave" IDE cable.

    It should say "Not Applicable".

    Nothing to worry about.
