DVD-R vs. DVD+R

what's the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R.
Is one better than the other.
I've been using DVD+R

You'll find varying opinions here. Personally, I've had better luck with -R

Bottom line however.... make sure you buy what's supported by your stand alone and burner and if they work and don't make coasters...well, you've answered your question.

also, seems that there's lots more/different brands in -r format to choose from (not necessarily best/better brands)
