    "Nero API version: 6.6.0.3"
Upgrade your Nero, download "Package 1" : http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

    "Book Type request: DVD-ROM
Changing the Book Type was finished successfully, return code 0"
Do not change the booktype on -R media. That is a guaranteed coaster.

    "7:48:44 AM #33 Phase 38 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 276
    Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 KB/s)"
Try burning them at 4X or slower.

    "Media Specific [16..63]:
    00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................

Your burner isn't recognizing that brand of disc. Update your firmware, that might resolve the problem.

terrell1906 - are you using a different system than you did here http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...962#post260962

Ya got a lower version of nero which lists a different burner etc.

Edit - Ya never let us know how you made out there

        To jmet

You: "Your burner isn't recognizing that brand of disc."

That is incorrect. It is a DVD-R and NERO doesn't generate the "Media Specific" information for most DVD-Rs. In fact, the media is recognized:

"Recorder: DVDRW IDE1108, Media type: DVD-R
        Disc Manufacturer: Prodis - cF01"

        You: "Nero API version: 6.6.0.3
        Upgrade your Nero"

There is nothing specifically problematic about any of the 6.6.xxx versions. Perhaps you misread it as "6.3"?

I guess a more technical, in depth answer would have suited you more setarip, although probably would have lost terrell1906.

It is always a recommendation of mine to perform a update in "Nero".

"I guess a more technical, in depth answer would have suited you more setarip"

No, it's simply that, as I said before, your statement, "Your burner isn't recognizing that brand of disc." is incorrect.

From the log - "Recorder: DVDRW IDE1108, Media type: DVD-R
              Disc Manufacturer: Prodis - cF01"

If the disc brand were not recognized, "Disc Manufacturer: Prodis - cF01" would not appear in the log...

Hang poor jmet for his errors then (and on his birthday too!) - he's sorry for being so dumb and for even breathing, OK?

@joey. Gday and welcome. If it is greyed out, it means it can't be set for your burner and/or your media. Don't sweat it.
