Is there a way to put television shows on my dvd recorder(tivo-like) onto blank DVD's?

You can record tv to your hdd and burn to dvd with a tv tuner card and software like super dvd creater

Thanks for the info, but do you have a guide and do you know where i can get that program?

If you get a video capture card for your computer they usually come with capture software. If you read the guides here and the capture guides here www.videohelp.com you will see some of the better capture software listed.
