I use decrypter then shrink and burn with nero. recently got some 8x speed dvd- discs and they won't burn any faster than 1x. Please help

that may be the fastest it can write on that media. are they compatible for that burner? is your firmware up to date?

I reckon they'll make the 8. What model burner? You need to check your firmware. See my sig on "What's my media ID and firmware" - if you would, report back the info on your burner.

Are you using a demo version of NERO? If so, if you've been using it for more than the 30 day free "full" trial period, it automatically limits the burn speed to 1X - as an incentive for you to decide whether you want to purchase it...

And shoud you not wish to waste your money on this crap softare, burn with free DVD Decrypter instead.
From DVD Shrink - Backup --> Select backup target --> ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter

dixie, if ya ever come back and let us know how u made out....there are great utilities for PC based LiteOn burners...Omnipatcher...Media Code Speed Edit to enhance burns with LO burners. Could be crap media or what blutach or setarip suggested.Not registered
