pio mode only

i have a hp pavilion a750y with a 3.2 pent 4 and 1.5 gig of 3200 ddram at 400mghtz. It has a x600 pro ati with 256 ddram video card and a 160 gig hard drive. Here is my problem it only burns in pio mode. What can i do if anything to get it to burn in ultra dma mode. Thank you for any help you might offer.
