    1024 Communication Error

I have pondered and tried countless threads dealing with this exact error... but I have so far been unsuccessful in solving this issue with my machine.

Here is the log, if anyone can help me.... I've already tried the DMA thing, uninstalling the driver, updating nero, switching the ide cables, and changing the Master/Slave status of the drive..... please help if at all possible.

Hi and welcome to the forum, papashonga!

Have you tried to update the Nvidia drivers for the nvatabus?

Do you have Roxio burning software installed? If so - try to download the uninstall/claning program from the Roxio site. It could be a conflict between Nero and Roxio.

ok, so should i proceed with removing the drive from the machine and sitting it underneath my car tire??

I've been racking my brain over this for weeks, and this is the only hiccup that I have not been able to work out of this system....

True, odd that burning a CD at 4x should not work on your system.
