    need help choosing a media to use with my burner

    hi there. I'm new here and have had error messages when i try to burn. After reading all the advice here i'm pretty certain its because of my media. I was using Comp USA 1X DVD-R . I have a Philips DVD+-RW DVD 8631. I am using Nero 6.6.0.8 To burn. Please...anyone who has this burner using this program tell me what i should buy. Also is there a guide as to WHICH media will work with my specific dvd burner???

      TDK, verbatim, sony, memorex, are good media....

                  You may want to try the free app. DVD Identifier Located Here.

                  It is useful in that DVDIdentifier retrieves and interprets the information that is present on all DVD media. This information will tell you disc manufacturing information and supported write speeds.
                  Specifically, because the Brand name may differ from the actual manufacturer, you can use it to determine which disks work for you and stay with that particular make.

                  For instance, I have purchased TDK disks maufactured by CMC Magnetics, Taiyo Yuden and, of course, TDK.
                  So, there you have as an example one Name brand disk that has three different manufacturers.
