Hi!

How big is one complete movie that you've downloaded? If one complete movie or the sum of its pieces is less than 4.36Gb, there's probably no point in doing any converting and compressing.

mpg-1 or mpg2? this why it wold be nice to see file info..

if mpg-1 you can put on dvd with dvd author alone (if in mpg-1 standard format that is )

TMPGEnc did not work.....also how do I display the contents of the file on this formum

Load the file into VirtualDubMOD and click on the File menu and select File Information. Post a screen capture JPG of this information box, or type EVERYTHING that appears in the box.

i'm sorry, but i don't know what a virtualdub is or where it is. Also, I am not sure how i can display the mpg's contents

Virtualdubmod is a free program. All these are available by a simple search in google (and many are available right here at Digital Digest - click on the links right at the top of the screen). You can download it and then, if you follow ashes's instructions, you will be able to post what is needed, so we can help you a bit more.

we know you are new, but sometimes you gotta do a bit of basic stuff to help yourself.
