found some what of a solution to my problem. well considering that for some reason my burner is only reading dvd+R now, what i did was burn the dvd i wanted on to a dvd+rw, then once that was done just do a direct copy of the RW to a regular dvd-R. it takes a little longer but i still have a stack of dvd-R's i gotta get through so might i might as well.Comment

I personally would get rid of those Memorex discs. From my experience, memorex products are sh****.

I follow the previous reply to disable the service , remove nero , reinstall drive and reinstall nero. No more problem (i had tried install xp2 b4, but removed already). But after i use dvdshrink again, the problem come back ...haven't tried to upgrade the firmware.
ps: update nero doesn't seem to help.Comment
