Unable to burn any movie

I was trying to backup Man of the House (old one with Chevy Chase). I first used DVD Dycrpter and saved the files to disk. I then used DVD Shrink. It Encoded with no problem and then I think went through most of the burn.

I then made an ISO out of it and did it the same way and got the same message. I thought it was the CD, so I tried a different movie In Good Company. Same exact thing. This is the error message that I got and the end. If someone could let me what it might mean.

i'd slow the burn speed to 4x

would windows updates affect me at all. I think i had some a day or two ago. Because I am doing everything the same. I am using the same media and burning at the same speed.

i doubt it. try the slow burn as suggested.

I was just able to burn a music CD, which I used Nero. Is it safe to say that there is nothing wrong with Nero and that it must be something with DVD Shrink. Or when Nero is burning, it is just Nero and DVD Shrink has nothing to do with it.
