This is my first post...first I want to thank everyone for the great info and tips. I've managed to copy two movies successfully using the latest copies of DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink & Nero to do the burns. My question goes to copying large movies where the automatically selected compression is not acceptable even after deleting non essential material. It would seem that I would have to go to DL discs, which are quite expensive at this time. I don't have any idea on how to copy a movie utilizing two or more standard discs. Any help would be appreciated. Again...thanks to all of you!

Lt Columbo, these were very good tutorials and I thank you for the heads-up, but I would still like to know how one can copy a movie on to more than one standard disc. I do have DL capability but I would like to avoid the expense of these discs. Can it be done?Comment

The easiest way is to split the disc into two using Shrink. Use reauthor mode and use the start/end function to decide where to split it.
You have to backup disc 1 first then do disc 2 from where you split to the end of the disc.
This way you will lose the menus.
A good guide is here. It is for v2.3 but works the same way.

And check VobBlanker out if you want menus on both disks - guide. Also the commercial prog, DVD Remake Pro does this easily.
