Hello - I just did a back-up using a DVD+RW and it worked all right except I had to wait for the disc to be erased even though it was blank. Is there a way to get around this? It's a blank disc and shouldn't be a problem. Thanks.

Is it a new disc that hasn't been used before?
If so, the computer needs to format it the first time it uses it. Then, in the future it is just quick erased when it is overwritten. -
