Anyone else have this problem?

When i am burning a dual layer dvd in some cases the "play and special features" in the dvd menu do not work. when i compress it and fit it onto a 4.7 gig dvd they do work. Mostly the movies work fine but still... ive tried using dvd decrypt and dvd shrink and get this problem on both. this mainly happens with newer movies, ie.. ring 2, aliens collector, shanghai knights, apollo 13 collectors, lotr two towers, rotk. is this some kind of copy protection? it never happens on single layer dvd's no matter how new the movie.

What brand of "Dual Layer" blank media are you burning to ?

i use memorex dual layer dvds and a sony burner with nero

A ton of people are having problems with Memorex Dual Layer media. I suggest you get some Verbatim DL media.

Also, if you doing DL backups to a DL disc.

Use just DVD Decrypter to make a ISO image on the hard disk and then burn it back to a DVD using ISO write mode.
