Try burning with DVD Decrypter. From DVD Shrink:

Backup --> Select backup target --> ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter

If that doesn't work, try cleaning your drive with a laser cleaning kit. Check all your cabling.

I am also a bit concerned about that old driver ADPU160M.SYS - it's an old Adaptec driver for SCSI cards on a Win 98 system, and since you're on XP, you most likely don't need it any more. Try uninstalling it and see if that helps.

EDIT: But there's more!!! That CDRALW2K.sys driver is a driver for Roxio drag to disk. Uninstall it - in fact, uninstall all of Roxio - it is probably conflicting with Nero.

As well, since you have a DVD combo drive, you may as well take that old LiteOn CD drive out.

      Regards

I also think you might have a driver/ASPI conflict, you can check this using Nero Info Tool, you should find it in the Nero Toolkit.

Run Nero InfoTool and click the ASPI tab, it should indicate "ASPI is installed and working properly" in Green at the bottom, if it doesn't then Save the log and copy & paste the ASPI section into the forums here.

@Taelon - Nero usues it's own ASPI IIRC.

            Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)
            Sense Code: 0x26
            Sense Qual: 0x02
You keep on getting illegal request errors. The Sense Code (aka ASC: Additional Sense Code) + Sense Qual (aka ASCQ: Additional Sense Code Qualifer) you have interprets to an invalid parameter in your CDB Data.

The CDB (Command Descriptor Block) is a data structure defined by the SCSI specification for communicating commands to SCSI devices. You send a CDB to a SCSI device using a SCSICmd function. The size of the CDB structure can be 6, 10, or 12 bytes, depending on the number of parameters required by the command. In Nero case, it uses a 12-byte structure.

            CDB Data: 0x35 0x02 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00

The first byte specifies the command, and the remaining bytes contain parameters.

In your first CDB you have a "0x2A" for a command code and this interprets to a Write (10). The "10" being a 10-byte CDB.

            CDB Data: 0x2A 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x20 0x00 0x00 0x00

You supposed to have a 0xAA which is a Write(12). READ/WRITE(12) are currently only defined for optical devices. Optical devices like a CD/DVD burner. Harddrives are magnetic devices. Anyways, either your drive doesn't recognized issued command bytes or the parameters is messed up. A valid firmware MAY correct this as with having a valid non-corrupted Nero software.

Also, you are having alot of these.
            HA-Status 0x10 (0x0A, SCSI_HASTAT_REQUEST_SENSE_FAILED)

(interpretation) HASTAT_REQUEST_SENSE_FAILED: The host adapter failed in issuing a Request Sense after a check condition was reported by the target device (DVD burner).

Who knows? Maybe you have a problem with your USB port as it shows you having a USB external drive as indicated by the "?". Perhaps, you are not using the correct driver.

            Recorder: Version: KY04 - HA 2 TA 0 - 6.6.0.16
            Adapter driver: <> HA 2
            Drive buffer : 2048kB
            Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ?

I hope this information which I gathered from research the net would attract some SCSI specialist to add more info to this thread.
