Hi and welcome to the forum, Wallmonster!

Could be that your RW disc is broken. Tried with another RW disc?

Do you have burning problems even with regular -R/+R discs?

You could also try to format the disc with this program - to rule out Nero as the fault.

      DVD Info Pro

I've tried a couple of different disc with no success. I've also tried a different video file in the burning rom and express.

DVD Info Pro appears to be able to format the disc though.

      Thanks
