Probably just about as good a media as can be had, IF your firmware supports it.
I burn at 4x so I use these

I've burnt Verbatim DL with my burner so I'm sure it will handle these. I also burn at 4X but those disc are getting harder to find. I'll never use the 16X burning capacity. I'm just finishing up a box of Taiyo's. Usually use Taiyo's or Ritek's but just could't pass up the price on the Verb's.AMD Athlon 2600+

since I need to check shrink vidts/nero vs shrink/iso/nero and dvddcrpt iso mode burning.
I intend to use at least 2 different computers with nec3520 burners(different
firmwares) and only quality media(at least 2 kinds).
12 dvd's for 2 computers, 18 for three.
Maybe I can get Blu to change his mind about NERO.

I've been using CompUSA's generic DVD+R's 4x with great success.
Just picked up a spindle of 100 for $25. Once or twice a year they have them for $20.
BTW - Stay away from Circuit City's ESA DVD+R discs. They suck - many failures...Comment

Staples in their stores has an unadvertised clearance on Verbatims 16x DVD-R and +R 10 packs for $2.50, Light Scribe media 10 for $2.50 and DL media 3 for $5.50. If the price on the shelf is normal they will price right at checkout. I got some late last night, all the 16x they had left (6-10 packs of +R ) and 1 pk of DL. Get 'em if you can, ya can't get hurt. Not registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums
