Ok if DMA is on, DVD43 is uninstalled, Nero is updated. Try the firmware that cynthia linked and you should be set to try a burn. I'll try to check if there are updated VIA drivers that you might want to get.
Added:
Your motherboard is GA-7VT600 1394 with BIOS vF4, the latest version is F7. But you shouldn't need to update them unless you have any of the issues listed on this BIOS page
Here is the page listing all your motherboard drivers the VIA 4-in-1 driver version is 4.55, you'd probably have to check in Device Manager to find out the versions currently running. But as VIA states, "If it aint broke don't fix it. It is not necessary to update VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers if your system is stable."Last edited by Taelon; 23 Sep 2005, 12:03 PM.

I wouldn't use the drivers directly from VIA unless you need SATA or RAID drive support. I'd stick with the GigaByte package myself.
It's been a long time since I've used a mobo with VIA chipset, but in those days everytime they fixed one thing, they'd screw up another (which is why I don't ever plan on using another VIA chipset as long as there's a choice).

Well...
I burned a DVD using the ISO Image File option, and therefore, it did not write anything to the Nerohistory.txt file.
This is what I got in the decriptor window

I guess I'll have to play it and find out.
Thanks, and I will keep you informed
I guess I'm a little confused... If I decrypted the entire original to the hard drive, so that I could split up the episodes, then why do I use the "ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter" option? Just curious...Comment

Sorry I didn't state it clearly when I posted that image, that image came from one of the FAQ's the arrow pointing to "ISO image file and burn with DVDD" was already in the image. I was just trying to illustrate where the backup to "ISO image file" was. IIRC to answer your question how you could control the settings that Nero used when burning, instead of having Shrink automatically send it to Nero for burning.
And now I'm confused as to what you're wanting to do with the output from Shrink. I guess I assumed you were planning on burning the Shrinked output. If you need to further process the Shrink output, select the Backup to "Hard Disk folder" option.

The results of the DVD Decryptor log window was included in my last post...
Yes...
I plan on burning Shrinked output to a DVD. What I don't quite understand is, why an ISO image file? -- why not just burn with Nero to E:\NEC?
Anyways, my DVD decryptor log window didn't show any problems when I went that route, and I am very grateful.Comment

joakers, as I said "to answer your question how you could control the settings that Nero used when burning, instead of having Shrink automatically send it to Nero for burning." If you set Shrink to output to an ISO file, you can open Nero, set the write speed, etc. then drag and drop the ISO into Nero to burn.

Sorry, I got so wrapped up in all the other things that you were telling me to do (never done any of it before), that info was lost in the darker recesses of my brain. Anyways, I will try to burn with Nero through ISO like you say, and let you know how this has turned out.
ThanksComment
