Not enough free space on disc error....

HI all! Brand new here, and my first post, hope its in the right place..haha
Im using DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink, and have never had a problem until now.
I just tried to backup National Treasure, but failed on two attempts. I get an error message that says that there is not enough space on the disc to write to, and to insert the proper disc....media requested, DVDRW ( + or - R), media inserted, DVD+R. Iam using Sony +R discs, and have never had a single problem. Also using a Lite-On DVDRW LDW 451S burner.
The movie decrypted without a hitch, but wont burn. No problems with asking for region code either.
I hope this is enough information, and that someone can lend a hand....

Have you shrunk the disk to the right size? National Treasure is a dual layer disk (DVD-9) and your media is single layer perhaps.

Sorry, I guess I should have been a bit more clear. The movie decrypted properly to my HD ( I read the FAQ thread..thanks!), but when attempting to burn, it says the disc I have inserted doesnt have enough free space, and it asks for a +- RW for some reason. And yes, it was compressed enough in DVDShrink to allow for burning onto a normal DVD+R disc, the bar was fully green. I hope this makes it a little clearer, and I apperciate your unput!!!!

DVD Shrink normally outputs to 4.35GB. Is there anything else in this root folder that is adding more bytes? Instead of autoburning with DVD Shrink, try outputting to your HD and check the size there before burning.

Thanks 2COOL, I just checked my HD, and in my Decrypted Movie folder( where I place the decrpypted movie of course!), the size is 7.38 gb, but in my DVDShrink Temporary Files folder ( containing the compressed video), the size is 4.38 gb, well within the capabilities of my burner and disc.

I just tried it again....unsuccesfully again. I even tried putting a +RW as requested, and still nothing. Ive attached two screenshots of the error messege if it helps.

Don't know why you're getting 4.38GB but try decreasing your output size in preferences by setting a custom size of 4300.

2COOL, I reduced my size to 4300, and it worked first try! Thank you! But I dont understand tho, I have never changed the size before, and it has always worked every time for me, and the size of 4.38 is still smaller than the DVD capacity of 4.7, why would I have to reduce the size on this particular movie down to 4300??

4.38Gb is in fact higher than 4.7 billion bytes. You probably "redlined".
