Nero 6 Reloaded dont have smartstart ?

i had nero 6 installed and updated it to nero 6 reloaded but nero reloaded dont seem to have nero smartstart ? i mean in nero 6 there was an option DVD or CD on the top right corner...but nero 6 reloaded dont have that...can some pls tell me what i may do to get smartstart...thank you

I personally always hated smartstart, but it should still exist. Browse to your C:\Program Files\Ahead folder and you should see a Nero StartSmart folder with the .EXE in there.

The only thing I use that one for is to see if I have the latest versions installed.

what do you use more ? is it nero xpress ? the reason i asked for nero smartstart was that in nero smartstart there is an option Cd or DVD...! i tried to burn a DVD in nero xpress and it said " not enough space on CD, burn on DVD instead " and i had to change options..i dont have this problem in smartstart

alykhalil, to burn with cd/dvd with nero express, there should be a drop-down box at the top of the window that lets you choose which drive/media you want to burn to

i use the classic 'nero burning rom' interface. i like to have all options in front of me, plus i am just very familiar with it

i agree though, express is quite good, but startsmart is sluggish (might not be anymore, the last time i used it was when it was released ), a little cluttered and kind of small and ugly

If Nero Express is in CD move - then press the button for Nero burning ROM and change the setting to DVD in Nero ROM and then in that program - press the button for Nero Express and Nero Express should now be in DVD mode.

my nero xpress dont have that option , it just says " which recorder would you like to use ? " and the drop down option is just image recorder Cd-R/RW and thats it...my DVD drive (NEC dont show) where as in nero smartstart it shows...

rather in my nero xpress there is not a single word called DVD used in it...just says CD..CD everywhere, in all options...

What version of Nero are you running? In 6.6.0.16 in nero Express there is a drop down box in the top right hand corner to pick your burner and whether to use cd or dvd.
I would uninstall , run the Clean tool and then reinstall Nero.

Yes you are right, it is ver. 6.6.0.16..what happened was, i installed nero 6 and then upgraded..sorry not upgraded but updated it to nero 6 reloaded from nero website... and now my nero xpress dont STILL have the dvd option
