Yes, I think that:

Perhaps he could modify the initial post in this thread or at least put a lead in saying "this comes from LUK!, the author of ImgBurn and is taken from ImgBurn's homepage".

also, 'dvd fab decrypter' is a new replacement for dvd decrypter. it even can handle sony copy protection. i have used it without any problems. then i use '1 click dvd' which i paid for to auto maticaly compress and burn.Comment

LUK is way too nice, i, at this point have no need for imgburn. because decrypter burns just fine but, i'll donate some$ anyway. i have the feeling that in the near future i'll need it.Comment

talking about 1click again. it did it again, last night i was trying to back up a movie(ok, porn) that had some scratches, i cleaned it but nothing work. tried it with shrink , dvd2one, fabdecrypter, decrypter you name it, they all just froze. so i re-installed 1click(i buoght a while back but don't use it because "it doesn't produce good quality" yeah right.) and what do you know? it did it again, i backed up the disc in about 15 minutes.
go 1click, the best ripper outthere(i said ripper, only as a ripper, )in my opinion.Comment

it probably did but, the playback went without a problem.
all i'm saying is that everytime i have have a dvd that can't be rip by decrypter, fabdecrypter, shrink and dvd2one, 1click has done the job. i'm don't want to say that it is better than these other program but, i do believe its ripping capabilities are better than all of them.Comment

I always polish the scratches out with liquid car polish like Mer, that way it can be ripped with Decrypter or Shrink with no probs....and without ignoring a load of read errors...."There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing......"

A good rule of thumb, is if the disk after cleaning and polishing will
play even in a problematic settop player, it will rip fine.Comment

Good links - as it says, Burn Proof attempts to save your discs in the event of an interruption to the burning process. I always leave it on when using Decrypter or ImgBurn. Its also the default setting....."There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing......"

I never used either DVDD or imgburn but since imgburn is just a burning software than could it also eventually support (build) images as well or does it already?
I am also 'worried' that the installation of imgburn in PC's that users that unlike me have DVDD installed could overwritte the burning engine on DVDD and render it upgraded or something like that....
I am very 'confused' about this subject....
what , when, who?Last edited by Guest; 18 Nov 2005, 04:55 AM.Comment

ImgBurn only burns as of right now (since the whole DVD Decrypter fiasco, I would assume that, ImgBurn will forever only burn images).
It will not "over write" any other program, unless told to do so in "Folder Options" under the "View" tab as the "default" application to "open" .img files.
Floppy, you can go here and ask LIGHTNING UK! himself or one of his extremely knowledgeable "Beta Team Members" any questions you might have. - http://forum.imgburn.com/Comment
