Hi, just a quick question. Does a dvd rw drive use the same laser it uses for burning dvd's as it would to burn cdr's. Is there a different one for cdr's? The reason I ask is I have a dvdrw drive and a cdrw drive. I've been using the cdrw to burn all my cdr's in the hope it will lessen wear and tear on my dvdrw drive. But if my dvdrw drive uses a different laser than the one used to burn dvd's, is there much point to this. Also, what's usually the first to go, the laser or the mechanics used to spin the disc? I know sometimes it will be one and other times the other, but usually? Thanks in advance for any input.
Joe.
