Never used these before, and was wondering if anyone has, or has any info on them, Im using a NEC 3250a, and i have read good reviews with this burner..what do you guys think? all opinions please

If it's the G05 MIC (which it probably is), don't buy it - there have been plenty of reported problems with this Media ID Code.

I'd say they were. G05s are the only Ridata 8x. The G04s were the 4X IIRC.
EDIT: Yup - see here
Looking at the link provided in the first post, the comments are pretty ordinary. 8% failure is awful for Riteks. I use R03s and have never had a coaster.

Burnt about 20 of the 50 and not even a bleep in the video. No coasters either. Great Media.

I love the R03, but they are +Rs. I don't use -R disks.
And that is a very selective quote from the link. The point is that they are of variable quality and why would you want to take a risk?

It would seem to be highly dependent upon burners and firmware.
I prefer dash r's, but that's because I feel in love with TY.
I used your link and added 8x to the burn to refine the search,
