img file to big to burn?

I'm trying to burn a 4.59 GB img file and I get a message that says:

There doesn't appear to be enough space on this disc to burn this image.

Image size: 2,297,026 Sectors

Disc size: 2,295,104 Sectors

It asks if I want to burn the img anyways and I choose yes. Of course, the burn runs into an error and the disc does not work. Is there anything I can do to shrink the img file by just enough so that it will burn properly. I only have the img file itself to work with, not the original movie, so I can't recreate a new one or anything. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think that DVD Shrink can read .iso files directly. Tell you the truth that I haven't done this myself before, only use logical thinking, and just hope that will work for you. One free program you need to download and install is Daemen Tools, a virtual drive. After installing Daemon Tools, it will create a new virtual drive in My Computer and a taskbar's Daemon Tools icon which you can click on it and select Device 0: No media to mount your .iso file. Open DVD Shrink, select Open Disc, and choose the virtual drive and carry on as normal

You can load the ISO directly into DVD Shrink (no need to mount) with Ctrl-I and let DVD Shrink do its stuff. Your output will be OK in size.

Only Shrink 3.2 can open ISO images. It was one of the last features to be implemented.
