[Missnd]

Ok, 1st time Ive ever had any problems, same DVD writer, same disks! Ive read many help guides here and have found many to be usefull, BUT I dont want to balls anything up so thought Id post my error thingy 1st and see if anyone has any ideas -

I couldn't help notice that you have a really old ASPI layer, was this computer upgraded from ME perhaps?

I don't mean to confuse the issue, since this shouldn't affect your burns with Nero, but could affect other software that uses the Optical drives. I recommend that you read the instructions and download Force ASPI
I recommend using ForceASPI this way:

* Run dumpASPI to backup your current ASPI layer
* Run killASPI
* Run instASPI to install the new ASPI layer
* Reboot
* Run aspichk or Nero Info Tool to see if everything worked OK

As far as Im aware everything is now up to date. I have updated Nero, firmware and ran dumpASPI. DVD Shrink has no probs, the problems are when it tries to burn.
I did try one disk which failed, so I saved all the DVD files and manually used Nero, this actually worked! But am now back to the start, Nero wont even burn when done manually!

I don't believe that is possible, do you have overburning enabled in Nero?
Also please note these 2 lines that you posted from ASPI Dump:

ASPICHK0522: Inconsistent version numbers among components

Please run these sections of the ForeceASPI package:
* Run killASPI
* Run instASPI to install the new ASPI layer
* Reboot
* Run aspichk or Nero Info Tool to see if everything worked OK
