I found a good deal on JVC DVD-R and DVD+R media at Big lots, a spindle of 50 for 12 bucks.
Has anyone tried this brand of media? I checked the label and I thnk it was made in malaysia? thought I am not sure

    thanx,

JVC media is usuallyamong the best there is (typically Japanese made media is best). I know someone who has burned over 500 JVC DVD-R's and had not one bad burn. Unfortunately, in the UK, they are harder to get now.

I have burned some of their DVD-R's and they have also been great for me. They use their own dye which is why they are so good.

If your discs are made in Malaysia. You can check for your discs here.

Before you buy them, be sure you can take them back if they don't work in your burner. I'm guessing that for the price, they are low quality Prodisc dyes, or worse.

If you do get those JVC media, use DVD Indentifier to get its Media ID and post back with your results.

I believe that DVD Decrypter can inquires and give you info on your drive but NOT the media (DVD). Besides, DVD Indentifier is free.
