shrink o.k. but cannot link file to burn

I've shrunk a dvd to F drive but when trying to link the file to dvd decrypter to burn I cannot get the file title to show in the title bar when asked to select a file.

video_ts shows up in the "look in" bar but not in the "file name" bar although video _ts does contain files if I go through start-my computer-f drive-my file-video ts.

I use windows xp.

Any help most appreciated......

To burn in DVD Decrypter you need an ISO. Use ImgToolClassic to make it from your VIDEO_TS folder. get it at www.coujo.de

No, it doesn't. If you have a set of VOBs/IFOs/BUPs in a VIDEO_TS folder - which it sounds like you do - make an ISO image from them with ImgToolClassic 0.91.6 (alternatively, use the burn function in PgcEdit - see my signature).

This image can be double-clicked to launch DVD Decrypter and burn, OK?

Even easier: open the shrinked DVD in Shrink and Shrink it again, this time to iso. Since the DVD is already reduced in size Shrink will not reduce it anymore so the quality will stay the same. Make sure to check all streams in Full disc mode.

ImgTool Burn uses Nero's API and ImgTool Classic uses DVD Decrypter.

blutach where is this PgcEdit stuff?

I've downloaded ImgToolClassic0.91.6 but have trouble setting it up.I think i've done the right stuff but end up with the message
"cannot find video-ts directory.This dirctory must exist below given server directory"

All this is cracking me up....all I want to do is decrypt a disc (shrink it if need be)throw it into my harddrive & copy it off.

I tried to go to maindownload on coujo.crion.de but connection timed out lots so I went through the mirror link.

OK - go to my first post in this thread and click on PgcEdit. Download it. Now click on the Burn Icon (or File -- Burn). It will guide you through the setup (which includes installation of the 2 key components of ImgTool Classic).

To burn, load the shrunk DVD in PgcEdit and click on burn - it will automatically make the ISO and call either ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter (as you select) to burn it.

I've got Pgcedit & tried the burn icon...nogo so when I go to 'file' what do I look fo...reopen DVD or burn DVD/creat ISO or something else?

When you hit burn the first time it guides you thru the setup. Did you do this? In its entirety?

At the moment blutach is being really helpful & so I'll try the pgcedit stuff & then try your simpler suggestion & compare the two.

hit burn & nothing happened.

I've downloaded it from the sit.....not compressed/zipped.
Maybe I've not downloaded it correctly.
Would window xp effect it?

No, it runs perfectly on WinXP.

OK, go to Options - Input/Ouput - Burn/Create ISO Setup and follow things from there.
